Due to popular demand, we're going to restart our monthly class luncheons in Colorado Springs next month. They will be at noon the third Tuesday of each month at El Padrino Mexicano, 13425 Voyager Pkwy, Colorado Springs (North Gate Blvd and Voyager Pkwy). Put a recurring event on your calendars now so you don't forget.
The class officers also discussed restarting quarterly dinners today. Focus of the lunches will be on the guys getting together, though the ladies are always welcome. Quarterly dinners would specifically be intended to include the fairer sex. We'll be looking for someone to honcho the dinners. No honcho, no dinners.
We're looking forward to getting back together. Our monthly luncheons were a key part to the camaraderie we had prior to COVID, and it's time to try to rebuild that. We're streamlining this time around--same Bat-time, same Bat-channel each month at the north end of town.
I will be sending out reminders and request RSVPs the week before each lunch. I'll have to let El Padrino know by the Saturday before if we are going to have more than 15 so they can schedule extra help. We'll have the back room to ourselves unless they have an overflow crowd in the main restaurant.
