We were saddened to hear about the passing of our classmate Jim Scully (CS-11) last August after his brave battle with cancer.  Jim was a devoted family man, consummate professional aviator, and great friend to all who knew him.  Jim had an exceptional life, by his own description, and we encourage everyone to read about.  Jim’s wife Carol, his family, his Rebeleven classmates, and his friends throughout the Air Force and Southwest Airlines gathered at USAFA last September 17th, 2021, to celebrate Jim’s life. It was a memorable occasion as we attended services at the Academy chapel, graveside service at the USAFA cemetery, followed by a wonderful lunch and multi-media remembrance of Jim.  Later that evening, as Jim specifically requested, we all gathered around the bar to reminisce, visit, and celebrate Jim’s life.  Rebeleven was represented by many of us including Dan O’Hollaren, Bill Diffley, AJ Ranft, Bruce Bennett, Mike Roberts, Ernie Maravilla, Denny Danielson, Mike Schiefer, Ned Kintzing, Cal Lake, and Steve Cristiani as well as their spouses and significant others.  It was a joy and privilege to be there with Jim’s family and friends and was an occasion we will long remember.
